Year 6 Magistrates Court

Class: Year 6 Year: 2022 - 2023

Year 6 have had a really interesting morning! Four magistrates from Preston Magistrates Court came to work with the children to explain their roles and the process for establishing justice in the community. We had a mock harassment trial based around a cyber bullying incident. The children listened to the case as magistrates- with many taking on different roles as the defendant, accused, witness and their legal teams - and then had to decide on the case. 

The children were inquisitive and represented the school wonderfully! Well done Year 6!
