This is run on a weekly basis for a minimum of six weeks. Whilst concentrating on building confidence, communication skills and creativity, the children will learn all aspects of the arts, culminating in an end of term performance where all families and friends will be invited to watch. I am delighted to be invited back to Sherwood School to provide two breakfast clubs for school years 3 to 6 on Thursdays and Fridays.

From foundation skills, followed by the rules of tennis along with stroke technique the players develop up to playing matches.  As players progress, I offer outreach sessions at Goosnargh tennis club some weekends these include tournaments and match play so that players can experience tennis on a “ real “ tennis court within a club environment.

As a keen tennis player I have enjoyed playing tennis at club level in Division 1 of the local leagues. By gaining my coach qualification I was keen to pass on the skills and enjoyment that tennis has always brought me. Whilst I believe that tennis is not the easiest sport to learn, once mastered tennis is truly a life-long sport, (I have players who are well in their 80s playing a good game of tennis)

Tennis is a family sport , a social and a competitive sport.

As well as offering both before and after school clubs, I also offer curriculum tennis, day time short tennis for adults at Westview LC and adult coaching at Goosnargh Tennis. Whilst I do not offer evening/weekend club sessions, I will signpost players to an appropriate club/ coach or pay and play facility.

Whether you have any questions re tennis either within or outside school for either your child, a member of your family or yourself please do not hesitate to contact me.
