Our Climate Pledge
At Sherwood Primary School, we believe that our planet is irreplaceable and should be cherished and protected by all. We aim to care for our school and local environment and take steps to reduce our global footprint. We learn how, and encourage each other, to take steps that reduce waste, conserve energy, save water and reduce pollution. We are committed to working together for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
We will demonstrate our commitment to our climate pledge by:
- Taking planned and strategic action to reduce energy use and improve efficiency, therefore lowering costs and our carbon footprint.
- Providing our children with the practical knowledge of sustainability, climate change and green careers; nurturing their sense of agency and further developing pride in their school's positive impact.
- Involving our children, parents, carers, and wider community in sustainability and climate change action to help drive positive change.
