Welcome to our Year 2 class page. 

We are delighted to welcome your child into Year 2 and hope they have a happy and successful year, filled with opportunities to learn, grow and thrive. 

Our class page contains key information and will be updated regularly throughout the year. We encourage you to take a look to find out more about your child's learning and how to support them at home.

POLITE NOTICES

PE

All children in Year 2 require a PE kit in School every day. It should be kept in a material pump bag with your child’s name clearly labelled on the outside. The PE Kit should include a Sherwood School PE t-shirt, royal blue shorts, black pumps (indoor), trainers (outdoor) and a plain navy tracksuit for colder weather. PE will be on a Monday and Thursday in Autumn 1.

READING BOOKS

Reading books will be changed on a Tuesday and a Friday. This is to ensure a high quality discussion with your child takes place each night as well as them being able to phonetically decode. Children will also be visiting the Library on alternate weeks so please ensure library books are brought into school every day.
