Helen Gooch

I was elected as a parent governor in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. At that time I had 2 children attending Sherwood Primary School, both of whom have successfully moved to High School and University. I work, part time, as a Physiotherapist for the NHS and bring from this role problem solving, leadership and team working skills.

I am a member of the Staffing Committee and the Health, Safety and Safeguarding Committee.   I am also the nominated governor for Safeguarding as well as Equality. 

I am proud to be part of the amazing community that is Sherwood Primary School and I have watched my children and their peers grow and thrive during their time here. As Chair of the Governing Body, I will continue to support the head teacher, governing body and school community to ensure that Sherwood continues to provide all its children with the opportunity to reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning and exploring.
