Year 3’s Visit to Preston Docks and the Hindu Temple
Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom
Class: Year 3 Year: 2025 - 2026
Today, the children in Year 3 had a fantastic visit to Preston Docks and the Hindu Temple in Preston. The children have been learning about Preston Docks in their Geography learning and were able to identify human features of the Docks. One class even saw the swing bridge moving to let a tug boat and sail boat through, into the River Ribble. They also learnt about how the Docks were used for transporting cotton, linking to their History topic last term. The children also visited the Hindu Temple in Preston, seeing all the different Gods and understanding how Hindus pray.
