Class: Year 2 Year: 2025 - 2026

In History, Year 2 are learning about the local history of the Fulwood area.  They enjoyed studying a range of large historical maps of Preston from 1890, 1960 and 2025. The children noticed the growth of the city and new transportation infrastructure.  They identified key buildings in their local area, such as Royal Preston Hospital and Fulwood Central.  We also looked around our school grounds and Mrs Brown talked about new developments and buildings over the past 35 years since Sherwood School was first opened.
