Using Timers and Stopwatches

Class: Year 1 Year: 2024 - 2025

Year 1 have been exploring time using both stopwatches and timers. 

Firstly they had a task to complete in a set time; standing up and sitting down as many times as they could, drawing circles repeatedly, doing star jumps.

Secondly they had to see how long it took them to complete a task; running from one cone to another, throwing bibs into a hoop and other challenges.

Reading the stopwatch took practise but the children did a fantastic job at identifying seconds and minutes correctly.
