The Great Lancashire Debate Final
Lesson: Literacy
Our Y5 Sherwood Debate Team headed to County Hall in Preston on Tuesday, for the Great Lancashire Debate Final. They competed against other schools in Lancashire, presenting their ideas on how to improve their local area for their local community and for all in Lancashire. Choosing Mason's Wood as their focus, they gave a five minute presentation of their ideas in the Council Chambers, followed by questioning from the judges. They did brilliantly, with the judges saying their presentation was 'enthusiastic, creative and well-researched'. They came second place overall with Highly Commended, and Hafsah was awarded second place for 'Speaker of the Day'. Well done children - your were outstanding and have made us all very proud!
