The Amazon Rainforest

We began our fantastic Amazon Rainforest geography topic in Year 5 this week by looking at different biomes on a world map, and locating the Amazon Rainforest, the Amazon River and some of the countries in South America. Fun fact: The Amazon River is around 6400km long - it is the second longest river on Earth, after the River Nile!
