As part of our 'Understanding the World' learning this week, we explored different materials and thought about what they felt and looked like. We explored vocabulary such as rough, smooth, bumpy, furry, fluffy and spiky. The children then created their own 'That's not my...' book cover, selecting their favourite pet to be the main character. As we have been learning about pets, this was also a great opportunity for exploring their different features e.g. whiskers, tail, fin. We loved them so much that we have put them on display in our classroom!
