This week in maths, Year 2 have been focusing on subtraction. Yesterday, we were learning how to subtract a 1-digit number from a 2-digit number using jottings to show our working out. We also explored how to represent the number sentences using a part-whole model. I was very impressed with the presentation and layout of the children’s working out in their books.
