Today they children in Year 3 explored the layers that make up soil. They children made their very own soil dessert pot to represent the different layers. A full Oreo to represent the bedrock, chocolate chips to represent the parent rock, chocolate mouse to represent the subsoil, crushed Oreo's to represent the top soil and finally strawberry laces to represent the humus.
