Year 2 have been looking at shape this week in maths. We started the week off by describing 2D shapes, looking at regular and irregular 2d shapes, finding lines of symmetry and then sorting the shapes in a variety of ways! After this, we began to explore 3d shapes, we played 'Describe the Shape' to our partners to score points then we sorted 3d shapes, using our prior knowledge of 2d shape names, to sort the shapes in a variety of ways from faces, to edges, to vertices to shape names! What a busy week!
