Shakespeare Week at Gawthorpe Hall

Class: Year 6 Year: 2024 - 2025
Year 6 took part in a wonderful visit at Gawthorpe Hall today. They enjoyed four different workshops: Object Hunt - where they explored items that would have been used by a travelling actor in Shakespearean time; Sword fighting - where they learnt about how stage actors would have used swords on the stage; Shakespearean Language - where the children learnt about the impact Shakespeare had on our modern language, and even acted out some of Twelfth Night; and finally Shakespeare's Life - where they acted out a timeline of his life.
As always, the children were impeccably behaved and engaged through all of the activities. Well done Year 6!
