Science Week in Year 6

Class: Year 6 Year: 2024 - 2025

What an amazing week! Year 6 children have had two fascinating visitors to school this week. First, Amber - a radiotherapy physicist - came to talk the children through her job. They loved watching the videos of Kit the Bear having radiotherapy treatment! They asked intelligent questions and listened brilliantly! Many children definitely feel inspired to follow this career route!

Secondly, we had a visit from Garr - a chemical engineer with a multi-national energy company.  He explained his role and what it takes to work in such an environment.  The children listened and watched with great interest to the presentation.  We are sure that many of the children are inspired to seek a scientific career.
