Happy Diwali

The children have been busy learning about the festival of Diwali over the last couple of weeks. Our home corner has been enhanced with a shrine and some decorations and we have had lots of resources out for children to handle and explore. The children have enjoyed making Diya lamps and Diwali cards and were fascinated to watch and learn how people make Rangoli patterns. It inspired us to make some rangoli patterns of our own. We have also enjoyed looking at lots of beautiful Mendhi patterns and had a go at designing our own.
