Freeze frame drama for developing sentences

To develop the children's writing and in particular the use of relative pronouns and relative clauses, we used drama and freeze framing today. The story we used was that of the Ginger bread man.

The children looked at key events within the story before taking a particular part and turning it into a freeze frame. They then wrote a number of sentences using the relative pronouns of 'who', 'whose' and 'which' to describe what was going on and looking at the language used.
