EYFS Visit Smithills Farm
Lesson: Understanding the World
Class: Foundation Year: 2024 - 2025
A fun packed day was had by all at our trip to Smithills Farm this week. The children had the opportunity to ride a donkey, feed the animals, go on a tractor ride to feed the donkeys, see the cows being milked and meet the baby animals in pets corner. Some children even saw a calf being born in the barn. In between all of this we met lots and lots of different farm animals.
The children were exemplary on their first school trip. The Smithills staff were impressed with the children's knowledge and curiosity about the farm and we left the farm with lots of learning to continue in class over the next few days.
