Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Foundation Year: 2025 - 2026

The children have watched in awe and wonder as 10 tiny chicks hatched from their eggs in our incubator last week.  Since they have hatched, the children have been taking great care of them - cleaning, feeding and handling them.  The brooder box has had a constant stream of children, watching on and observing their behaviours, inspiring lots of lovely artwork, writing and a wealth of new vocabulary!  A lovely end to our theme of learning about animals this term.  We say good-bye to our chicks tomorrow as they head back to the farm.
