Dissecting flowers

Class: Year 3 Year: 2024 - 2025
Today, Year 3 were learning about the parts of a plant involved in it's life cycle. The children enjoyed getting hands on and dissecting their flower to find out the different parts of a flower. The children learnt about the stigma and style, stamen (anther and filament) and the ovaries. The children learnt that once pollen is transferred the plant is then able to produce new seeds.
