Classifying Plants

Class: Year 2 Year: 2024 - 2025
Year 2 have enjoyed classifying and grouping plants today. They designed posters and discussed each plant’s characteristics to sort them into groups - mosses, ferns, algae, flowering plants and conifers. We talked about habitat, if they had seeds and flowers or not, and looked at examples. The children have also been monitoring the growth of their seeds in a seed diary each week.
