Celebrating Shakespeare Week

Class: Year 6 Year: 2023 - 2024

Year 6 celebrated Shakespeare Week in style this morning, with a visit to Gawthorpe Hall in Padium. 

We took part in four different workshops:

• Learning new skills and patterns in a Blackwork/ Scarletwork embroidery session;
• Finding out more about Shakespeare's life with a chronology lesson;
• Trying out our sword skills in a sword workshop; and
• Discovering all of the words that Shakespeare introduced to the English language. 

As always, the children were impeccably behaved and joined in each of the sessions with interest and enthusiasm.
