Carnegies Sherwood Shortlist Squad

Lesson: Literacy

This year, a group of Year 6 children are taking part in shadowing the Carnegie Medals, a national book award. They will have the unique opportunity to engage with outstanding new literature and experience a national book award from the inside. They will read, discuss and review books selected by the Carnegies panel of judges, enabling them to read for pleasure, share opinions and develop their critical thinking. In June, they will vote for their favourite books. Welcome to the Sherwood Shortlist Squad!
