Bird Hide Building in Y4

Year 4 have been designing and making bird hides in DT, inspired by their class novel Twitch. They explored different bird hide designs and considered how to make theirs a stable structure. They then worked out how many pieces of wood they would need and their dimensions. Using a razor saw, they cut their lengths of wood then built their bird hides, strengthening the corners with cardboard triangles. Finally, they attached their roofs and added cladding by weaving card, leaving windows to watch birds through.
