Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Foundation Year: 2026 - 2027

As part of our 'Understanding the World' topic this week, we have been exploring different job roles within emergency services. We have enjoyed learning about firefighters, doctors, paramedics, police officers and lifeguards. The children have been learning new vocabulary linked to these important jobs and talking about how each role helps to keep us safe. We had lots of fun using our imaginations during role play, taking on the roles of firefighters and police officers. In our workshop, the children enjoyed making pictures of themselves doing the job they would like to do when they grow up. It was lovely to see their creativity and hear their ideas!
