An unexpected afternoon…

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Foundation Year: 2024 - 2025

Some of the Early Years children wanted to check on the raised beds this afternoon and they were very surprised to discover a huge crop of radishes! They picked them, washed them and then helped to chop them before finally offering them out to all of their friends to eat. We researched whether Basil the tortoise was allowed to eat radishes and learnt that he could have the leaves. We popped some in his bowl for him to enjoy! The remaining leaves and the roots made a fun addition to our mud kitchen. We love child led learning!
