Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Year 3 Year: 2025 - 2026

Today, Years 3-6 welcomed an amazing visitor to school; Bart Gee. Bart was born with a rare physical disability called Arthrogryposis which means that he has weak muscles and stiff joints. He described his challenges with his disability and how he adapted and overcome some of these challenges. The Year 3 children were then treated with a workshop by Bart who asked them to complete physical challenges that mirrored his challenges. The children were all amazed at how amazing Bart was with his piano playing and drawing and writing skills. In Bart's words "If it is hard, it is possible."
