A fabulous visitor to Year 5

Year 5 were treated to a special visitor today who came to talk to them about the Jewish faith. Rachel spoke to the children in great depth about her faith and the things she does on a daily basis to follow her faith. The children were shown many of the items associated with the Jewish faith such as the Kippah, the prayer shawl and her copy of the Torah. These were discussed in great depth and the children showed great knowledge and understanding of the Jewish faith and asked many probing and respectful questions. It was a surprise to find out the array of different designs of the Kippah, even seeing examples including M and M's and the Simpsons along with traditional designs. A great way to enhance the children's learning.
