About the Author:

Lui Sit was born in Hong Kong, raised in Australia and lives in London. She fell in love with reading and writing at primary school. She began by writing plays then poetry. When she was 9 years old, she got paid $5 for her first ever publication – A Ballad of War. As an adult, she has worked in the arts, education, publishing and charity sectors whilst becoming a children's author which is her definition of delight. In May this year, The Land of the Last Wildcat was announced as Waterstone's Children's Book of the Month.
Discussion Points:
As you read and enjoy your book, take time to reflect on what your have read and share this with your family. Each week for homework, we will add points and questions to discuss, think about and share together in the Discussion Guide (see files below).
Book Drop Bingo:
To explore the book further, why not take part in 'Book Drop Bingo'? A series of creative tasks that you can complete to enter into our Year 4 Book Drop prize draw. Print off the Bingo card below and tick a task when you have completed it. You can complete a task in your Homework book or use Seesaw to upoad or create it (just remember to save it to your Book Drop folder). To enter the draw, bring your completed card to school and post it in the prize draw box by Friday 12th December. We will also be completing some of these tasks during our Reading Workshops in school, therefore please make sure that you bring your book to school with you every day read and use in school.
