Book Drop 2025
Our EYFS Book Drop book for 2025 is 'Who Owns the Woods' by Emily Hibbs and Jess Mason.
Follow a little boy and his grandma as they wander through the wild and wonderful woods. From the forest creatures who scamper, crawl or fly through the leaves to the trees and plants which sway with the breeze, the woods are full of curious and beautiful life. As the boy is introduced to more and more of the phenomenons of the forest, he begins to ask an important question: Who owns the woods?
As part of our special 'Book Drop' week in school, we are going to be going on a walk to Masons Wood. Whilst in the wood, we are going to collect lots of special woodland treasures to bring home. You could have a go at using your treasures to create some artwork! There are lots of fab ideas on the Woodland Trust website: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2020/10/autumn-leaf-crafts-for-kids/
Why not try and visit a woodland over the half term holidays? There are lots of great activities you can do there! https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/visiting-woods/things-to-do/children-and-families/
Have you ever heard of the National Trust initiative, '50 things to do before you're 11 3/4?'
