Girls Football Tournament Winners

Today, some of the girls from Year  5 and Year 6 represented Sherwood in a U11's Football Tournament at UCLAN. The girls topped their group by winning 3 and drawing 1. This meant they progressed to the quarter finals where they won 1-0 against Olive School. We then played Longsands in the Semi-finals  in which they won 1-0. This took us to the finals where we played Our Lady's St Edward's. We drew 0-0 which took us to a penalty shootout. We scored 2 out of 3 and the other team only scored 1 which made us...... THE WINNERS!! Due to us winning, we will now represent Preston in the Lancashire football finals in January. Well done girls- super proud of you all!
