EDI Parent Forum

This term's meeting of our Equality, Disability and Inclusion Team Parent Forum had a focus around English as an Additional Language. Mrs Holt, the lead for EAL at Sherwood, and Miss Barrett, EDI Lead, met with parents to share and discuss how we celebrate  language at Sherwood. We talked about what has helped, or would help them feel more included and held a conversation around any challenges they may face with school communication. Discussions were very positive and it was clear that some of the systems and resources in place do help our childen achieve in class, and support families with communication at school. We reminded ourselves of how to change the language of the school website by clicking on the icon of the world:
