Emma Cockburn-Hyde (formerly Emma Keany)

As an ex-pupil, I was very excited that the opportunity arose for me to become a co-opted governor at Sherwood. I have lived in the area all of my life and know the importance of the school within the community. 

I currently work in the governance team at a large multi-academy trust advising members, trustees, governors, principals and other staff members on all matters of school governance. From my role, I bring skills in leadership and management, an understanding of governance structures in an educational setting and the importance of good governance. 

I currently sit on the Finance and the Staffing and Admissions Committees and I am also the nominated governor for Religious Education.
