Year 5 travelled back in time today to the year 900AD and came under the rule of Yarl Tata. Danegeld had been sent to Harald Bloodaxe in Jorvik but had gone missing. Harald Bloodaxe was not happy. The children had to persuade him that they could find and return the Danegeld, otherwise he would sell them into slavery.
The children learnt about key roles in the AngloSaxon and Viking village of tun tata. A fabulous day was had by all.
