Preston Dance Champions

We are delighted to share the news that we are Preston Schools' Dance Champions. Our Dance Team competed on Wednesday 8th March in the Preston District Dance Festival. 18 Primary Schools competed in total with a Sustainability Theme running through all the dances this year. 31 children from Sherwood preformed a powerful and emotive danced about deforestation. We are all so proud of the children - some of whom have vast experience on stage and for others, this was their very first performance opportunity. 

Our Team now progress to the Lancashire County Final that is taking place on 15th May 2023. All of our hard work, determination and commitment to rehearsals made a difference! Congratulations to all our dancers, teachers (choreographers), costume designers, music editors, hair/make up team on the day! Thank you also to our parents for the early starts over the last few weeks. An incredible Sherwood Team effort!
